The Shandean has published work relating to the life, times, and work of eighteenth-century author and clergyman Laurence Sterne (1713-1768) since 1989. Formerly published in paper format, in 2024 it moved online, now published by Liverpool University Press.
This unique annual journal publishes longer articles and shorter notes from established and young scholars alike, a ‘Sterneana’ section, and book reviews, and it is richly illustrated.
I have served as an Editor of The Shandean since 2015.
